Addictive Wine and Tapas Bar
Let me begin by saying that I am so happy that Addictive is in our neck of the woods. The small bar which is in the process of expanding is just the most delightful place for a romantic encounter or just to have a nice glass of wine. The food is all prepared in house and the detail that goes into every dish served here is impeccable. I will attach a few reviews from www.yelp.com.
“Addictive Wine and Tapas is probably the classiest trendsetting little place in Jackson Heights.
For trend-settingrhood residents young and old wanted a place to sit and have wine and tapas. A place that tried to rise to the occasion recently went out of business, unable to overcome the traditional Jackson Heights restaurant scene operating techniques.
However, there is a magic about Addictive Wine and Tapas that is a glimpse into the potential that this side of Jackson Heights has. It is grown, it is sexy and it has the support and community built as part of its sister business, the Addictive Boutique Winery across the street.
There are dinners with wine pairings on certain days. It is a great place to stop in and have a glass of wine and light food. The place is hip and cozy. The owners have built quite the sense of community. This is not the Jackson Heights you think you know. It is classy and coming of age. It is worth every star.”
“Yup. Another 5* review. But only because it totally deserves it. Been meaning to go there for a while (I’ve been to the companion wine shop across the street a few times) and when my friend suggested it for dinner last night, I jumped at the chance.
It was even better than I expected. We split a Plato de Carne y Queso (a terrific mix of meats and cheeses). I had the Bacalao which Francisco offered as stuffed in a red pepper instead of on bread. Fantastic. My companion had the Pulpo which was as good. And the wine. The Sonsierra Crianza was sublime. My companion had the Aviary California Cabernet (I usually don’t go for Cali Cabs because they tend to be too big, but I sampled hers and it was really good).
And I can’t emphasize enough how Patrick and Francisco made it a really special dining experience. Cheers and many thanks to them. Can’t wait to go back – especially since they will be expanding soon with some really cool sounding experiences in the works.
Just go there. You will immediately wish you had done so sooner.”
I am so very happy the East Elmhurst has this gem.
I want to leave you with this intro from the owners. Francisco Diaz and Patrick.
Established in 2016.
Addictive Wine and Tapas by Sommelier Francisco Diaz is located at 32-63 87th Street in the heart of New York’s Jackson Heights / East Elmhurst. The wine and tapas bar is the culmination of a long dream for ours who has opened Addictive Boutique Winery back in November 2013. At Addictive Wine and Tapas, Sommelier Francisco Diaz’s A-list wineselections make it a great pairing with our selective tapas. The menu, comprised of tapas and small plates.
Francisco Diaz is a Sommelier graduated from the Sommelier Society of America in 2016. Wine and foods have always been his passion. Ever since he was a kid, his mom would make small empanadas to sell at his school. A junior Francisco at the time would helped his mom to make empanadas and small bites. A grown Francisco has now cultivated both wine and foods. Addictive Wine and Tapas is a long dream of his after opening Addictive Boutique Winery back in 2013.
